Careful, you'll get your head chopped off :P

I didn't say that they ARE boring, because that would be implying that I would be saying that everyone finds them boring.
I just say that my personal opinion is that they are boring to me. Of course, I'm sure you mean the same thing, right? ;)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

If thats as good as it looks, then thats a bloody good deal... I can't help but think there must be some sort of underlying issue that he's not telling us about!

$2500 reserve ;) whoever leads the bidding will take it home.

If the turbo IS poked (which it more than likely won't be at those km's) CT26's don't cost much to replace ($250 max) especially if you're getting the entire car for half what it's worth. If I personally had $4k burning a hole in my pocket I'd find someone in the area (that knows MR2's) to have a look at the car for me and take it for a drive rather than assuming that something must be wrong with it for that price. You won't know if you don't check. Then you'll be amazed next week when some guy comes on here talking about some mint turbo MR2 he scored for $2500 with a mint paintjob and perfect interior and completely unmolested  It happens all the time

You realise there are a LOT of Honda owners on here who are also Toyota fans, yet we don't see any of that talk here. Sure you get those, but you get Toyota owners with the same kind of attitude - you just demonstrated it.

Who leaves engines stock ... well, I do!

Yep fair enough, was wondering that and ultimately the same kind of reasons I don't like the early B16A Hondas either haha. The EGs are far better.

In regards to the stock comment, the B16As are still definitely quicker stock - do you actually leave exhaust/filter/everything stock?

Leon had a Civic, but either way I guess we all have different experiences - I was not trying to start a Honda Toyota thing.... I was just interested to know what Leons impressions are as unlike a lot who have plenty to say on the topic he has actually owned both.

In all fairness DA6s and AE101s are both slow as anything and you're not going to set the world on fire with either, so if you were going to buy one of the two you may as well get the one which is going to give you the most enjoyment.

Yes, ill admit it, im a honda hater. Its not so much the cars that are bad.

the ITr's are nice cars, and i do love the NSX and S2000 ( IMO not real hondas... :D )

Its more the dickheads that drive hondas, Normally heard stating some thing along the lines of. "Bro, VTECCCCC is sooo cooooolll !!1!" etc etc.

Then you proceed to tell them that in a race car, the variable valve timing is taken out, as its not needed.

There like, whaaaatt???

and then im like, ummm.. ohh VTEC...

and dick head honda drivers are like " But bro, vtec is so awesome, why would you take it out..?

There are just as many fvckwits driving toyotas, and nissans, and mazdas and everything else. To hate on a brand of car because you think everyone who drives one is a dickhead just paints you as narrow minded - the very kind of person that honda drivers talk about on nzhonda forums ;)

ps ef SiR FTW :D

Yep I sure do. Any money I spend on a car is always on handling or brakes 8) (or cage / seat / harness )

With a RWD car, you throw it around a corner, there's a good chance you wont come out of it. FWD, is it a different story.

TBH I wouldn't spend too much as you REALLY sound like the kind of muppet you describe as being idiots. So you'll just write it off the first corner you come due to the 'good chance' you won't make it around.

I remember when someone that I and HELBND know bought an MR2. He said to them "I bet you write it off in a week"

They wrote it off in an exact week.

If you really think that, you OBVIOUSLY havn't driven/been in a FWD car going fast enough.

You should hop on the passenger seat of my mate's EG and do a lap. You'd probably piss your pants and then you'll learn to never look down on cars just because it's FWD. It's bullshit stereotypeing i believe.

Trust me, just throwing a rwd car into a corner and coming out the other end is not a sure-thing. Theres a good chance you will endup parked on someones front lawn or worse upside down in a ditch (the second one never happened to me thankfully). Plus fwd's can still get the back end out with the right technique

Handbrake? nah don't need one of those, just use the weight of the car, brakes and good tyres front/not as good rear.

Any car can be fun to drive just got to remember there are laws and they are getting tighter and tighter
