running a 2c bell behind my gen3 3sge
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

1C 2C 3C
1S 2S 3S 4S 5S
1VZ 2VZ 3VZ 4VZ 5VZ
1MZ 2MZ 3MZ
1GR 2GR 3GR 4GR

im using 3y because it puts starter motor on the intake side. only because i need to make rood for turbo manifold. 3sge you can use any of the listed above.

STRX7 - you say all these are the same...

1C 2C 3C
1S 2S 3S 4S 5S
1VZ 2VZ 3VZ 4VZ 5VZ
1MZ 2MZ 3MZ
1GR 2GR 3GR 4GR

I THINK.....
That for the VZ V6 family 3 of the 4 holes are perfect... the other one is way off?
Looking for pics on MR2 forums

yeah one of the top holes is about 5mm off. no biggie, i used a round file and it was perfect in two minutes of filing. soft alloy is easy to fix. also i dont need to shave the bellhousing down like the others do. only needed a slightly fatter spigot bearing.

frost
- what motor/flywheel?
- what starter motor did you use?

Just asking because I know the Y starter location is closer/different offset?

Ken, I'm pretty sure a lot of the 2Y townace/3Y hiace, use the same starter motor as the ST150 coronas with 1S/2S they would use the same ring gear too

ken.
gen2 motor and flywheel with ring gear flipped
3y bell housing and 3y starter with a 5mm spacer on engine side of backing plate to bring it in line with ring gear. it tucks up under the intake manifold very nicely.

is the altezza 3sge different to earlier 3sge's?

reason being i have a W56 with 3C bellhousing and it will not bolt up, the bolt pattern is very different.

yea it is out of an emina van discovered that earlier,
even with the bellhousing sitting at 90' to the engine only 4 bolts line up,

so on the hunt for a bellhousing that will fit if you know of anything let me know,

cheers

yeah thought about that when I did my conversion but the bevel ends up on the wrong side of the tooth (trailing edge vs leading edge of tooth)
I just ended up hand cutting bevels very carefully!

Only 4 main bolts on the bell line up with the block - the smaller holes on the alloy sump have to be slotted to match with the bellhousing holes... Originally the bellhousings had separate braces that bolted between the bell and the block.

Don't know about estima setup but engine on big slant probably cocks everything up
