who cares about the rust prevention, 1g details please.
fyi dinitrol is pretty good stuff for rust prevention, my por15 didn't work too flash.. it doesn't like UV rays..

Have you thought about using industrial/marine grade products?
Altex Coatings (where i work) have a couple of different options.
single pack version - RIPO(rust inhibiting protective oil)
http://www.altexcoatings.co.nz/vdb/document/417
thin penetrating liquid for use in Interior of doors and panels etc.
$28.50 per litre = about 30SQ/M per litre
or:
two pack version - Altra Lock 577 (rust and crevice sealer)
http://www.altexcoatings.co.nz/vdb/document/413
penetrates surface rust , crevices, plate laps etc.
3 to 1 mix ratio
$48 per 1L kit = about 33 SQ/m per litre
both can be (and really should be) top coated, ripo with High build rust barrier.
577 with altra shield2000 or Altra build 536
check the Altex website for more info.

Yeah POR15 works perfectly if you use it correctly.
Anything other than proper use and its no better than any other product. Thats why unless you can make sure the surfaces are clean etc I wouldn't bother using it in hard to get to places. If you can clean/prep the surface, its great.

Product I have used many times over with very good results is Blackguard.
Can be brushed on, rolled on or sprayed on
I opted for the brush on option, left to dry and then primed straight over the top

Wurth make a product called "cavity protection spray" which is the yellowy waxy stuff manufacturers use when they build cars
could get a can or two of that and go to town on the hidden areas which will seal them off

Arrgh, thats the stuff that is crap, it dries out and cracks, moisture gets in the cracks and rusts from my experience.

Nah I dunno man, my sedan was tectyl'd to hell, and it was one of the least rusty KE70's I'd seen.

it's also what toyota specify for spraying on hilux decks that get tray liners.
