Postby loudstealthGT-Four » Tue Oct 06, 2009 6:53 pm

There is a ct20b turbo without the exhaust housing off a caldina gtt for sale on trade me and I was just wondering if it could be fitted to my ct26 in my gt4? And what is involved in that? Aaaand is that pretty much the same as bolting on a ct20b

Its not a CT20b no matter how much he says it is.

ah... as said above nope...

Different Turbine Wheel,
Different Bearing Housing,

the CTxx housing wont go into the CT26 Turbine housing without machining... but then you have a problem of the 4mm smaller turbine wheel.

Will a Caldina housing and turbine fit a CT20b turbine housing... and will it work with the twin entry housing?

Unfortunaly this one caught me out.
did an ST205 upgrade for a GT-T using the ST205 bearing housing, Comp Housing & Comp Wheel and a GT-T Turbine wheel....
only to find the internal mating flanges are different.
And
GT-T Turbine Wheel 48mm exducer
ST205 Turbine wheel 50mm exducer.

you could use the ST205 Core into a GT-T Turbine housing, as a bit of an upgrade...

bags not doing that one, would be an a$$ of a job with the turbine housing.

so the answer to your question is .... no.

Bugger, because I've got a Blitz K1-380v upgraded GT-T turbo but the manifold is warped, was hoping it would fit into a CT20b exhaust housing

Just get another GT-T Manifold, they run the standard size turbine wheel,
(that was mesureing off a Blitz uprgaded one we had apart here).

Nope, by the time I got home last night it was getting dark, and it's raining today (although I have a garage). It's been like this everyday for the last 3 years, just no interest whatsoever. Will let you know when it lives again.
