you all seem aware that the system doesn't work in many instances, I would have thought if you were in a position where you can't afford to lose an income then it would be common sense.
Its come in useful a few times for me. although it does irritate me somewhat that you can't rely on the state provided system to look after you, you should be able to choose to forgo all acc levies in lieu of private insurance.
unfortunalty, like many commision salespeople, i thought i had private cover. the crooked prick never actually signed anything off, and must deposited my premiums into a personal holding account, not the company holding account. once he got wind of the first shoulder injury, the rejection of insurance cover letter came, with the money i had deposited.
