How often did you check your pressures?
And what size tyre, what pressure did you run?
How many rotations in that time?
25k is low, but i would guess that you didn't take the best care of them to be so low
I can confirm that last set of GSD3 lost grip at ~30k (that was about 3mm of thread left), I run mine at 275kpa (yes I know that is highish but that is the pressure where fuel economy, grip, and steering response balance). I rotate wheels every service (5k), and usually I can wear out them very evenly (I also do wheel alignment every tyre change). The lost grip issue it seems because that compound got a lot harder, and stop being "sticky". This did not happen on German GSD3s, I could get out over 40ks on them.
