I can't really comment on the 1G-FE, although I think my old GX81 had one. Good enough for daily duties I guess.

What I will say about the X90 chassis, is it handles superbly. I love how nimble and stable mine feels, even back when it was on stock suspension it felt so much nicer than my Z20 and A70.

Mine is 2JZ-GE but is still reasonably economical (for a big car with a 3l motor) so I can only imagine the 1G-FE would be even better again, although no doubt you'll find yourself using more throttle...

The only other comment I'd make is Chasers are hideous... get a Mark 2 :P

gx90

Postby docTRD » Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:08 pm

gx90's are pretty av overall, I used to have a gx90 chaser, champagne one with poo brown interior. was slow and used about 10L/100k which isnt much less than a 2jz and you have stuff all power :( . jz motors are overall a far better motor so If I was you I would find a cheap jzx90. if you decide to go turbo later on ie 1jzgte or 2jzget the jzx90 is a bolt in affair for the conversion.

As Loonie has commented, get a Mark2, x90 chaser's are poos :p. I have a mark2 now and I think their shape is far better plus it will hold its value more (being the best looking of the 3 sister cars) . my 2cents
Daily : st191 corona liftback mmm room

gah chaser haters

but yea when it comes to the x90 chassis the mark II's are the best shape..............but the x100 chaser's.........different story

agree with doctrd wouldnt waste time and or effort with the gx90, its kinda like sleeping with your best mates mom
it was a good idea at the time, but after wards all it is, is a big let down

still a jzx90 in any of the 3 shapes hold there value rather well, been looking for one for a while as a side project to the 100
