Yeah but there's really not much idiots in the air, because they don't live very long.

With flying, you have to understand how your aircraft works, along with a few other things.....

Roads on the other hand........ :S "Oh I just put petrol in it, and it turns these wheels and I can go places"

Speed don't kill people, lack of skill and training does.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

So why is it titled "Boyracers in helicopters"?
What makes him a boyracer?
I hate how the media brands things like that, when clearly they aren't.

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Flying to school?
They are joking right? MORONS.
"What do you mean I can't land here....?"
"Little Jonny's fuel bill for the week travelling to school. $500...." I made this number up, but helicopters use LOTS of fuel right....?

MORONS!

I'm just struggling to see how this has anything to do with 'boyracers'.
Good on the kid getting his helicopters pilots licence. But how is that related to boyracers

Hahaah heli's are.... Interesting....

Mate of mine has quite a few RC ones, and gave me a go in his heli sim. I was starting to get the hang of it, but its hardcore! Takes a LOT of practice.

I know that a Cessna cost around $150-$250 (depending on places) for rent, per hour when the prop is spinning, incl fuel and all expenses but not including aerodrome fees.

I'm not sure about Heli's as I only hold an aeroplane licence, but AFAIK you need a proper helipad in order to land, unless stated and approved otherwise.

So this whole "fly to school" scenario is BS, unless it's a one off thing for a function/show.

they are making the point that they shouldn't need to raise the driving age, just include more training ect in getting a licence, your just focusing on the wrong point.. and it has nothing to do with boy racers other then a stereo type of young people.

You'd be surprised, had some weekend pilot drifted from downwind to overhead because she didn't allow for drift. Although I saw what happened from a long distance and made "adjustments", there was traces of brown stains on my panties.

LOL!

Once I asked an instructor "what if I have an imminent engine failure?"

he replied "you go down with the plane".

No seriously, I *think* the law says you have to land the thing, ask Kinloud, I'm not current anymore.

Yea, and you somehow manage to catch up to a jet plane as well while free falling!
