Just watched this from the news, 16yo can fly but due to law changes may not be able to drive?

Yeah but there's really not much idiots in the air, because they don't live very long.

With flying, you have to understand how your aircraft works, along with a few other things.....

I'm just struggling to see how this has anything to do with 'boyracers'.
Good on the kid getting his helicopters pilots licence. But how is that related to boyracers

Hahaah heli's are.... Interesting....

Mate of mine has quite a few RC ones, and gave me a go in his heli sim. I was starting to get the hang of it, but its hardcore! Takes a LOT of practice.

I know that a Cessna cost around $150-$250 (depending on places) for rent, per hour when the prop is spinning, incl fuel and all expenses but not including aerodrome fees.

I'm not sure about Heli's as I only hold an aeroplane licence, but AFAIK you need a proper helipad in order to land, unless stated and approved otherwise.

So this whole "fly to school" scenario is BS, unless it's a one off thing for a function/show.

Agree with ya there Akane, the whole story is a load of BS really, its not even feasible what they are going on about :roll:

. Would be sweet to do flying and s**t but it can't be a cheap hobby?!

they are making the point that they shouldn't need to raise the driving age, just include more training ect in getting a licence, your just focusing on the wrong point.. and it has nothing to do with boy racers other then a stereo type of young people.

You'd be surprised, had some weekend pilot drifted from downwind to overhead because she didn't allow for drift. Although I saw what happened from a long distance and made "adjustments", there was traces of brown stains on my panties.
