Just a little point, it looks to me like you will have to sort out your battery mounting before you hit the track, and cover up the positive terminal

Awesome! The motor is a Smallport 4age. They are the best generation IMO.

Can you explain what is wrong with the battery setup? It is clamped down and does not move, however you are right the terminals do need to be covvered.

I heard the smallports can wind round to 10-11k rpm? True or false?

In your situation, false.

On a FULLY race spec engine, then maybe. 10-11k is stupidly high.

ok so as you can see i have the air intake done, that is all i think i will do intill i get my shocks. I have a nice stiff pair of springs and soon some new brakes. I will change my brake fluid and oil before the taupo meet. Was hoping to streach my money far enough to cover wheels but alas, yet another commercial holiday is getting the better of me...

If you want the revs, you want a B16A/B18C.

if you have powersteering, then you are going to have some problems putting the belt back on without the aircon pump there.

may want to sort a solution to that before you let him take it off

oh right... would a smaller belt suffice or would you run a dummy pully/pump?
