i'd say cosworth is doing better than ever at what it does. but the difference being they don't release it to the public. you'd be suprised what comanies like cossie work on for bigger manufacturers.
apart from the awesomeness and brand image, cosworth would get little benefit from producing 'hot' versions like the escort and this impreza i would think.

new shape sti has plenty of potential. don't like the clear tail lights though

I'd say Cosworth are doing alright.
Cosworth / Nissan VQ35 482hp at the wheels in limp home mode, 9psi, lots of advance, heaps of fuel.
Goes in for a 21psi map when the new clutch arrives. I'm praying that a single -6 return line can handle two Bosch 044's working thier arse off. Otherwise it's a new regulator as well as the clutch, flywheel, adaptor plate, axles and CV's. Horsepower hurts!
The answer is Helmholtz!

Toyota ST205 Celica Rally.
Jimco/ Cosworth 350z Offroader - 609whp at 16psi

What happens when 519 wheel hp isn't enough? You contact Cosworth in order to convince them to bankrupt you.

But at least I can now stop that annoying problem of not being able to spin the 35 inch rear wheels at anything over 200kph.

I hope you didn't order one of their F1 engines! Hahaha
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
