Mugen badges IMO.

Aluminium floor panels will help too, in case you get danger to manifold.

What do you want from the car?

You asked such a broad question I think could write an essay, you need to be more specific.

Yeah when i have my laptop next to me it always tells me "danger to the manifold", but i just tell it to shut up and close it and then hit my second NOS button. The aluminium floors help alot. Now they only fall off every second race.

Seriously though,
Without knowing what in particular you want i cant help you directly but here are a few suggestions from me(not in any particular order):
Prob best to give it a real decent service-all fluids, filters etc

Aftermarket shocks and springs
New pads and fluid
Whiteline rear sway bar
Decent tires
Full exhaust system
Intake
Leads and plugs

What is your budget?

What are your goals with the car?

What is your level of mechanical ability?

Mostly, what is your budget.

He could also take his block to Dom and the mad scientist, his piston rings might need replacing.

Seriously though, listen to this man's suggestions. Unless you're going with forced induction, that's about as much as you can cheaply do. And that's not even particularly cheap, to be honest.

Ah, right, you want to slow it down then. Put bags of cement in the boot. Cheapish, and should do the job.

All piss taking aside, $1500 will get you either:

1) new lightweight wheels and tyres

or

2) springs, shocks, adjustable rear sway bar, and a good wheel alignment

It won't get you any more power worth measuring.

Is that just a $10 poddy sitting in your bay sucking in hot air doing more harm than good. Or a properly shielded ducted k&n sorta thing?

I did the shocks and springs in my FXGT and i have a blast in it in the corners. Not really fast but corners are where its at these days anyway.

Massive pipe? Where is the pod filter located? in the engine bay? or in bumper?
