GTT is 100 times better vehicle.

Why?

problems:

Gearbox
Lifters
Turbos
Diff (AYC)
Fuel consumption
Electrical

Cambelt is a very costly exercise on those (being V6 and all).
Brakes are weak for that car. Handling is so-so. Has this asthmatic feel due to tiny turbos.

I like the handling / feeling / performance of Legnum VR4's, even in comparison to my own GTT. Other than fuel consumption (and noisy lifters issue) I don't know anyone who has had the problems you listed, and I have a few friends who have pushed them past 200kms.

Overall I'd agree the GTT is the better car, but if I didn't have to worry about petrol I'd be a hard choice between the two.

i'll point at piles of crap as much as i like thanks very much :P

the subs and mitsis in question are top of the range and widely supported, im not a fan of either company but the cars in question are decent. ford havent built a decent vehicle since the early 80s!

pays to remember the is more to owning a car of this nature than just the purchase price. maintaining them is expensive too... like i always say to people looking at BMWs, its a $5k car with $60k car problems! airbag light came on? kiss a grand goodbye minimum... and so on.

I had a customer who had to repair the airbag sensor in a E36 coupe of some type...was part of the seat base 8O
$1500 just for the part....

I'm assuming you've driven one? Are you seriously tryng to say that they are "astmatic" compared to a GTT Caldina :?:

The manual gearboxes are pretty robust, so are the autos once you upgrade the pissass factory trans cooler to a bigger unit. The rest are maintenance issues.

I accept that they are a more demanding/expensive car to run than the GTT but nevertheless theyre a far superior car
