Unless its a race car or the car has a specific purpose, you are better off building something driveable and reliable. It will spend less time in the garage and more time being driven which is the whole point and it wont break the bank.

I had a standard 20V silvertop with GZE pistons, and 18psi on a Silvia T28,
and it was 205kw on 18psi, and reliable,
but it was not what I would consider a good street engine.
