If its' doing it at idle only, chances are its' the VVT pulley.
Take the plug off the VVT oil solenoid on the front of the motor, and with the motor idling, put 12V onto the solenoid. If the rattle stops, and the revs drop a bit, its' the pulley thats' stuffed. Having a worn pulley doesn't do any harm to the engine, just sounds ugly!
I got a retail quote for a brand-new pulley a couple of years back for my FXGT, was over $1000.. or a second-hand one from a low-k motor for $50 from a wrecker, the one I ended up with still had a slight rattle but nowhere near as bad as the original.
