WTF is it and WHY is it on my 1UZ

Ok so i went to levinguys for a drink or 6 and nextt thing i no theres this thing bolted to my 1uz, so WTF is it and WHY is it on my 1UZ, and why is it there, and can i remove it and what does it do and why does it do it, and wyh is it on there in the first place?

ps, what does it do?

I WAS SUPPOSE TO PAINT IT, AND CIRCLE IT BUT I FORGOT

SO ITS THE THINGY ON THE RIHT HAND SIDE WITH THE PIPES AND THE PULLY, its random, like what is it for/

I'm disappointed, I was expecting to see a large supercharger attached to the top :(

Not sure what that is though sorry.

It's an oil pump for the fan I think.... 1UZ's run a hydraulic fan instead of Viscous.

Charger goes on top, achually have one for it now too, just need to atach,...... dam stupd thing on the side, its crazy, what does it do! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!

Yeah, you can remove it but you'll probably need to block something off - never done it before.

You might get double rainbows coming out of your engine, not sure.

Na not aircon or power steering ps is on top left, aircon pump i removed, its just raaaaaaandomly there for no reason other than to be a baby monkey riding on a pig baby monkey

I never understood the point of hydraulic fan. Electric fan is much more reliable, cheaper and controllable.

But yes, as above it is for fan.

On JZ's its part of the water-pump, it can be deleted with a non hydraulic fan water pump. May be able to do the same here?

Yea the hydraulic fan pressure is ECU controlled, The main benefit is they move more air for less noise, trade off is higher complexity and cost. But they are usually on higher end models so makes sense to me

i took mine off my soarer.its quite easy..just let all the fluid run out and take it all off...you may need to grind the face behind it down so the belt doesnt touch it.

ok... il remove it, just unbolt everything in sight, see what happens, not like theres anything alse i could possibly use it for?
