Front end of the car wobbles

Hi there,

so i had this problem with my car wobbling alot on high speeds like over 90kms. I had my wheels balanced, the guy said they were pretty bad and he even said that after doing the balancing, the wobbling should stop. But sadly it still does that, but now its a little better than before. It wobbles just over at 100kms now. The guy also mentioned it could be the front shocks if the problem still continues.

What could the problem be?? Help appreciated

maybe try looking at the shocks, like he said

might be one tyre/wheel causing the problem.

Jack up car and spin wheels looking for wonky tread/wheel

borrow a set of wheels

if prob continues check for bent hub

might be one tyre/wheel causing the problem.

Jack up car and spin wheels looking for wonky tread/wheel

borrow a set of wheels

if prob continues check for bent hub

He said it could be the shocks. I dont think it is the shocks. They seem to be sturdy and not real loose.

I have the same problem in my GTR, but i suspect its my front tyres as they are pretty old and worn uneven. Gunna get a new set of tyres and get a wheel allignment.

Id agree with swapping front to back and see if theres any change.

it could be anything really, anything from a bent wheel or worn tyre to the suspension or even the wheel alignment

maybe get the alignment done again somewhere different ???

check the tyres first to see if they are separated and then check for buckled wheel also , is the vehicle lowered ? when you say wobbles do you mean steering wheel shakes , whole car shakes or the vehicle is darting ? more information would be helpful to determine the cause

Actually though, when I think about it, even though you could balance it, it would still cause a vibration à la flintstones wheels, wouldn't it?

First course of action is definitely swap front and rear wheels round, if there are flat spots on the front tires, you'll still feel them when they're on the rear but it won't give the same feedback through the steering wheel.

Or car left sitting in the one place for a period of time casuing flat spots. Have had that, balancing didn't fix it. They are in balance, but still have a flat spot on the tread.
