its only plastic just drill it. and yeh all toyotas ive come accross have been m12

Just drill it a bit bigger and try screw the gearknob on, if you can't, drill it a bit bigger. Do this until it fits TIGHT, no point it being loose as it will come off when driving so only drill it just enough so you can fit it on. It's only plastic so the gearstick should screw into it without needed to have it tapped.

hmmm i think you guys are right. and ok I'll try it out and have the result up here~ lucky we do have drills in our house haha

tried drilling with both 9 and 10mm drills. no luck....still wont go in.
Sadly the next size is 12mm which im sure its too big......so should I try and get a 11mm drill bit?

Just drop into a workshop somewhere, will take them 10 minutes, have usually found in the past they will do it for free as well when i have needed stuff tapped.
