Easiest way to get engine out of boot?

I have just bought an engine. Its on a pallet in my boot and i cant see how im going to get it out on my own.

Any ideas?

its a 5e-fhe so only about 110kg's

Jack the front up till engine has located itself on the ground.

I've lifted a 4k out of a ke70 wagon before by myself, helped the wagon was on the ground, but still not fun! As Leon says, not worth the back injury!

I can move a 2E engine minus gearbox around by myself but you would need atleast 2 people to get it out of a car.

How did you get it in?

I think getting some decent planks of wood that won't bend too much and sliding the pallet out on them would work well like Stu- said. That way it won't run away on you if you don't make the ramp too steep.

chain it to a post, then drive away really fast.

Or, use one of those stretchy 4x4 tow strops, attach that to the garage wall, drive away really fast and get bonus points if you can get the engine to go clear through the garage wall.

Bonus points if you can get it to land in the neighbour's swimming pool.

smoke some meth and wait a couple minutes youll be able to do it with one hand tied behind your back.

if that fails get a friend or 2 depending on how lacking in strength you are. 2 people should be able to lift a 5e no worries

I figured that was how it was put in. Being on a pallet.

Thats a clever way of getting it out.

i was actually considering swinging it out of the boot but didnt trust the supports in the roof or my own calculations.

Thanks tsoob, i couldnt think how to describe the setup so i thought a picture would be better.

Agreed, the car even has a boot spoiler. Good effort on both the drawing and removing the motor

Use some rope to tie the pallet to a pole or something. Rev it to the limiter and chuck it in gear. That should get it out.
