is there any reason why they cannot do a re-run of the original, yet offering new technology options i.e. carbon fibre body parts, turbo, adjustable suspension etc. etc.

Yeah, safety requirements...would be a mission to re-engineer the car to take airbags, ABS, stability control etc etc

Very true. I wonder if the FT86 would be a similar price to the s2000? I've always viewed the S2000 as being a very good car but high priced.
