You should stick to the cheap Chinese tyres. Heres why:
With the tyres that have better grip, its because they're stickier. Like bubble gum. When your wheel rolls forward, the engine has to exert a force in order to pull the stuck rubber off the ground. With the Chinese tyres, it doesn't have to do that, because it just rolls off, and all that engine power wasted on unsticking the tyre as it rolls can be put towards actually making the car go forward!
If you were to put on a decent set of tyres, I predict that it would increase your times by 2, maybe 3 seconds!
