Will a 2JZ-GTE non vvt fuel rail adapter fit 1JZ-GTE +more Q

Postby mikeBrotherd » Mon May 02, 2011 7:10 pm

Im fitting an after-market fuel pressure reg (one of the D1-Spec 850hp type) and cant find a fuel rail adapter that screws into the end of the 1jz-gte fuel rail. But i can find heaps for the 2jz-gte. I would prefer to get away from using the factory reg inline if i can.

Could i use a 2jz-gte fuel rail adapter in my 1jz-gte non-vvt engine? Or is there a kit anyone knows of to suit 1jz? I have been looking at getting a Tomei 2jz-gte adapter but need to know it'll fit before i buy.

Also does anyone know the factory base or ideal fuel pressure for a 1jz-gte non-vvt? The engine has 3" y-pipes/exhaust and plan on running around 15~16psi from the factory twins.

Cheers in advance :-)

Why are you wanting to fit an FPR? I see you are sticking with the twins so it seems like an unecessary upgrade, unless Im missing something.

The toyota one does a great job without the need for lots of cost spent on fittings and pipe etc.
wak thud gush!

future single turbo down the track...plus somethings up with my factory unit, has a unstable fuel pressure. Have checked for leaks and replaced hoses, have a walbro pump fitted so i put it down to fuel press reg.

ijzgte and 2jzgte fuel rails are different for different injectors. I just bought a banjo bolt and fitting from enzed and tapped that thread into the fuel rail
