there has got 4 studs there that do a pretty good job at locating the wheel!?! also that is why wheel nuts have a taper on them

never had any issues and never run locators. up to personal preference though

i was running 25mm bolt on spacers that didn't locate onto the axel locator (hilux diff) and eventually caused me to loose a wheel as the spacer came off the diff, wheel was still attatched to the spacer which wasnt located either. Took maybe 4-5 days drifting for it to happen tho. more slogged out the alloy spacer on the studs if that makes sense, but yeah can happen :oops:

there is no where in lvvta standards, that says the wheels have to locate on the hub spigot. the only time you need to locate on the spigot is using slip on type wheel spacers,(require bolting as well) or adapter spacers that don't use taper nuts.

That`ll be because the bolts weren`t done up properly... Or the spacer was poorly machined.

bolts were done tight as, ill put a pic up whe i can be bothered, can see exactly whats happened from the wear on the spacers

So the truth is lack of locating ring probably didn't make a big difference then

Of course i'm only assuming, but those ripple strips look to be designed to rip wheels off cars no matter how they are attached. Especially if you're hitting them sideways :lol:
