caldina headgasket (no magn1ts allowed)

did have a quick search but nothing jumping out at me - is replacing the headgasket on a ST215 GTT an engine out job? i know the clutch and cambelt are supposed to be.

if its not, would it be relatively straightfoward to do without a hoist.

it is would be possible to do it in car unless it has ARP head studs which will make it almost impossible to get the head on and off. but it would make life easier to remove it from the car to do it

yip you can replace the headgasket with the engine in the car. done it not long ago

yeah, i've no doubt having the engine out would make it easier - just wondering if its a time saver or not (time of removing and replacing engine vs extra hassle caused by leaving it in)

did you do it on the ground loudstealth, or did you have a hoist?

yip just did it on the ground, all we done was just take the head off and put the new headgasket on and then put the head back on, but it was on a mates car and he was in a rush to get it done. And it was the first time id ever replaced a headgasket
