Go Schuey :)

Pfffff, sense and F1 don't really go together, especially when theres money involved :P

Bring back the Williams glory days, Renault engines, and Kimi winning another championship!

I tell you what that may not be a bad thing a merger of Renault and Williams which is pure speculation on my part but I mean fiscally it makes sense and I really think it could be good for both parties.

P.S the Indian track looks really good and fast there saying the 2nd fastest on the calendar.

Renault and Williams are becoming partners again from 2014 when the 1.6litre V6 turbos come in mate.

The two names has such a nice ring together :)

FP1 and 2 were good to watch, apart from the stray dog on the track lol. The track is sensational, and will lead to lots of passing, or atleast attempted passing due to the expanded track width in the braking zones. The 270deg, quad apex right hander is a winner, cant wait to see them going through there on full tanks come race day.

Well done Heramn Tilke, well done indeed :)

Karun Chandhok was hilarious in the commentary box.
Can expect that grass at turn 8 & 9 to be well used after the race.

Well Vettel is in a class of his own. Every time I think Hamilton will set pole, he comes along and smashes his time.
Fail Massa

I wouldnt reallly call it a fail, he was trying to extract the maximum lap time like everyone else and unfortunately just took 1cm too much curb.

Due to the track not having held a race before, that corners dirt has progressively been eroded away over the weekend due to cars going off again and again, so much so, that it now is a pit and far more of the concrete lump has been exposed. It will be repaired before the race.

I would bet on either a Mclaren or Ferrari passing vettel on lap one due to the length of the straight, even without DRS being enabled the slipstream benefit will be huge, especially for the cars in 4th, 5th, 6th, place, maybe Rosberg or Massa into the lead by lap 2 ;)

Its going to be a great race though with more than a few places where mistakes will be very costly on full tanks

Bring it

Lap1 and 2, corner 3 is going to be awesome. With a nice wide track there should be a few wheel to wheel fights going on. The midfield scraps are goint to be awesome to watch. Wish we had that TV thing where you can flick through the different cameras.
Mind you, the Indian GP is the cheapest venue, hmmmm.

I hope they don't repair it. I hate tracks where the drivers can cheat by taking so much kerb. Be good to have the odd corner that bites back.

Lucky you ;)

I think the field will be hugely different to the starting grid, come turn 4.

Turn 3 is great, but 4 will be where most of the action happens on the first two laps.

Lets all pray that 2 or 3 cars can pass the red bulls before they get out of DRS range.

The tension builds :)

Mr Vettel has it all over this field at the moment as hard as button tried Vettel and that RBR car are nie on unbeatable at the moment.

I checked out Alonso's body language during the interview and to me he is just happy to be on the podium as in his heart I think Ferrari have eaten it for another season they just don't have the outright pace to win races so while being a Ferrari fan I have to be honest its another failiure of a season as to me its clear Mclaren are faster and with RBR the clear NO.1's back to the drawing board Ferrari.

Massa now I thought his penalty for the so called turn in was wrong as I didn't see where else he could go and theres no way Massa was going to back out of throttle so I'm thinking wow he got slayed on that one.

Massa's mistake that took him out of the race well he did it in practise so it was careless on his part I put that down to a huge driver error hence why I think Ferrari have seen about enough of Mr.Massa and he may well be looking for another no.2 maybe someone like an Adrian Sutil just putting that out there.

Just wish someone could jump Vettel off the start. He's just amazing in the early stages, everytime he pulls out massive leads over the first 4-5 laps, and no one can catch him after that. He just seems to find the limit from the millisecond the reds go out. Even by the time they got to turn 3 he had already checked out, and no could grab a tow down that massive straight.

Hopefuly McLaren and Ferrari can close the gap next year, and Vettel has to start from the 2nd and 3rd rows. Vettel must have one of the best pole position to wins conversion ever, its actually like he is a robot.

Pissed myself seeing the Massa/Hamilton incident, so funnt, how many times is that this season? Dont agree with the Massa penalty, but would put it down to a 50/50 racing incident, both of them could have avoided it.

As they mentioned in the commentary the stewards have a lot more data to work with. I'm betting Massa took a line a lot more to the right than normal trying to cover Lewis as the previous attempt was to the right. Also his braking was probably a bit suspect.
Will be interesting to read the reports this morning!

Other than that it was actually a pretty boring race...

Yeah it's been a few!! But if you are racing hard and give no quarter and are always racing the same guy...

Oh and Vettel, Pole, win and fastest lap. On the last lap... Lols at his engineer telling him not to do it and then saying "I wish you wouldn't" after the fact
Also I'm surprised by his record, most laps lead in a season. I was really surprised at that. I'd have thought the shoe would have that by a mile.

Michael wasnt ever a completely dominant pole man though, tending to qualify in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th quite often. His strength was strategy during the race to claw back the difference, not to mention stunning laps either side of pit stops to jump the opposition.

Mansell held the record for most laps led in 1992, in the all dominant williams renault of that season. At a guess there would have been 17 races, so I wonder how many laps difference, this seasons calendar has had for the first 17 races, time to get out the calculator.

Its a shame there was a small gap between most of the teams pace last night as the track will lend itself very well to close racing provided the cars are all very similar. Imagine how good a GP2 or GP3 race would have been. I think once next year rolls around, the dust wont be anywhere near as bad and overtaking will be more of an option than it was yesterday.

Poor Massa indeed, very hard done by, and I bet Hamilton was shitting bricks as soon as he hit him, as its the sixth time he has run into him this year, and he would have expected a penalty, I think he got off very lucky this time.

Great race by Mercedes, slowly they are making up time on the front 3 teams during the race. I hope this continues for the last two races and sends them into the xmas break with alot of hope for 2012, Michael made his tyres last exceptionally well and used his KERS to great effect on the first lap, 12 to 5 is almost a victory given the season they have had. I sense great things building there :)

Oh well... time for Abu Dhabi...and then on to teh legendary Interlagos for the season finale, its always a great race, and the fans are awesome.

I've read a couple of reports now and it seems Massa was well aware where Hamilton was as he was looking in his mirrors at him, also Hamilton tried to get out of it when he realised Massa was turning in on him. Massa certainly did a dive bomb for the apex from far out wide.
All Massa had to do was leave a little more room and it would.nt have happened and he would still have had the place.

Having said that I did expect it to be judged a racing incident

I just dont consider being half way alongside someone as an overtake. You have to be ahead to be given right to the corner.

Both of them clearly have to shoulder some blame, Im just surprised only one of them got a penalty, given how half arsed the attempt to pass was from Hamilton.

A racing incident though, nothing more, nothing less.
