I am assuming that it's a Subaru derived n/a flat four. I wonder if this will mean that no power, high fuel consumption, leaking cam cover gaskets, oil surge, and bhg will be on people's minds once the new car warranty runs out.
Could it be cool? Definitely.
Will it be cool? I'll definitely be watching the enthusiast reviews once it's actually for sale
If it's a good car then maybe in five years or so after production begins we might see a few of them being used in motorsport at club level.

wikipedia wrote:Introduced in 1998 with the AS200 (chassis code GXE10) and RS200 (chassis code SXE10) sedans, the compact vehicle was produced using a shortened front-engine, rear-wheel drive midsize platform,[5] allowing Japanese buyers to take advantage of tax savings imposed by Japanese government regulations concerning vehicle exterior dimensions and engine displacement, and adapted parts from the larger second generation Aristo/GS.

Come on Warwick, we know EVERYTHING rear wheel drive is just a thinly disguised race car (even Mitsi L300 vans), and EVERYTHING front drive is just a boring shopping basket that no REAL driver would ever own. Or is that just something the flat peak wearers say? <span class='tooltiptrolol'><img src='chrome-extension://hndllphbhpadfpoikpaofkkkpkpnmjik/images/emoticons/lol.png' /><span>lol</span></span>

I haven't driven anything that comes close to what that thing could do on a good twisty bit of road.
