Head Unit Fail

Postby BZG Wagon » Sun Nov 13, 2011 2:27 pm

Bought a head unit out of the states - checked the frequency range before I purchased but I didn't realise they step in odd numbers (i.e. 89.9, 90.1, 90.3 etc. vs NZ 90.0, 90.2, 90.4 etc.).

I've heard rumors you can change Sony headunits by hiting a combo of keys on the faceplate - has anyone had experience with this?

The other alternaitve will be a 0.1mhz band shifter.

It's a Sony MEX-BT3900U

generally it is a selector switch to change from US to international. Could be inside the unit. Otherwise you are out of luck

Probably can't be done then.

You will find that it will get stations but not others.
