Even with the use of paint, what you're saying makes no sense to me.

I think he means get the intercooler as low as possible without it sticking out the bottom of the bumper?

iv heard you still need to run a second radiator with water to air and to me thats just gonna mean im still gonna have to fit that up in there somehow unless theres kits that can run of the one radiator?

as for mounting it lower but "up", where i have it sitting in that second picture is about as low as it will go because if you look closely the holes for the piping go straight in to the engine bay where its sitting there and also the valance has to pull in and if i have it sitting any lower the valence wont pull up and will look f**ked up lol

You mean from the main radiator?
You could... but I wouldn't think the water would be near cold enough.

You can run it off the main radiator but the air going into your engine will be the temperature of your heater on hot.

W2A heat exchangers dont have to be big. Mine is smaller than your IC and a lot thinner.

Just stock Subaru stuff. It's only on my baby dick Corolla. The heat exchanger is about the size of an aircon condenser. If you already have money in a FMIC setup then use that otherwise I woulld build a W2A setup around a heat exchanger that suits your space.

Pics plz 8)

I used to have an RS legacy.. from what I remember the w2a rad in the front wasn't huge ie thinner than an intercooler for sure. So you could make it fit, but then you have the added weight, complexity and imo ugly of the w2a setup..
I say whip out the dremel or what have you, and carefully reshape your grill. When done nicely it will look like it was supposed to be there... unless you want you car to look like this

I envy those with little interest in cars, for they have money and spare time.
