Any comments about which ferry is best for modified cars?

Last time I went on the interislander (admititly is was about 8 years ago) I recall a gap/drop that was viscous and I ended up cracking the front kit.

Thanks.

Bluebridge seemed good - though the front lip on my Corolla isn't that low. But IMO the angles didn't look too bad on their ramps.

Worst part was driving up into the parking area (and going down when leaving). Was a tad shakey with hard suspension due to the surface they use to stop tyres slipping

Been on blue bridge but they don't appear to have that ship anymore. Was fine but very bumpy as 1I1 said. I will be going on Interislander and then blue bridge over Christmas but will likely have put my stock springs back in by then.

Yeah Ferry terminals are not built to suit our cars. I had to go on a stupid angle to not hit on the Interislander. Much to everyone elses amusement  then as above, the ramps vibrate any loose teeth out.

depends on the individual boat and who the guy working at the ramp is. couple of times i've been put in the lower deck with trucks when they dont think i'll make it up the ramp, also get to leave first from there ;)
the first ramp isnt so bad as you can take at a big angle if needed

Arrive early and chat to the office and ask to be put on the lower deck. If they are not full with trucks they won't mind helping you out. That is both Ferry companies.
I also got sick under a table on the Bluebridge ferry last time.

Had no problem with the MR2. Mind you, it isn't scraping low.

at Megameet in Auckland a few years ago, the guy working the ramps on both journeys was good with letting me take the ramp at an angle, slowed down cars behind me to give me a chance. That was on Interislander.

it's far easier for the loading staff to let you come onboard slowly and at angle, than to shag around helping you pick up bits of plastic.

Thanks for the tips.
I don't think this car is crazy low, but we'll soon see

bluebridge was fine when i used them last, went on their older, bigger ship (whatever its called). But as said above, those grip bumps on it are brutal

To be honest it depends on the tide,
as the wharf is at a fixed height but the boat isn't,
so the angle really depends on that.

We went on the same boat both ways when we raced at taupo, and the ramp was different angles both ways.
