Hydraulic handbrake remote reservoir

Hi all

I'm working currently to install a second pair of rear calipers on the back of the racecar as I intend to re-install the hydraulic handbrake to actuate the second set of calipers (the events in Wellington almost always involve a hairpin).

The handbrake I plan to put in has a 3/4 bore with two threaded ports, as I dont plan this to be inline with the normal brake line I need to give this a dedicated reservoir.

Does anyone know where I can get remote master cylinder reservoir from?

Currently my options all include throwing away the master cylinder I already have and then:
* install a Wilwood one that comes with a remote reservoir kit
* install a trailer master cylinder (trojan etc) with direct attached reservoir

**I haven't called the likes of BNT or ABC yet, but spent afew hours on google**

What about something like the remote res used on most 90's hondas? They have remote clutch reservoirs. Used on Civic, Integras, preludes.

Otherwise some motorbikes used remote brake reservoirs.

lol, or grab a trailer master with built in resevoir ;)

get one from a van from a wrecker.
the resivor on a master is held on by a massive hollow bolt from memory, you just unscrew it and lift off the rsovir, all vans ive seen have a remote resivor, you just get the banjo bolt from that master and screw it in,
easy as.

how come you arent going in line with the normal brake line?

Cause I did this in the past and found it very discocerting when braking.. .. my old H/B now belongs to Distrb :)

thats a little odd, shouldn't really have any effect on normal braking at all? Unless you arent running seperate front and rear circuits with seperate master cylinders?

i had it on both stock master cylinder and split master cylinder and it was fine. though i havent found myself in the situation where i need to be using the service brake and the hand brake at the same time.

I'm currently doing the same setup on my rx7. You'll need a 3/4 clutch master or like I did and as said above use a trailer one. As they are the right size and only 40$
