hit up Mark @ Toyota NZ for coolant hoses, eg, hose from hell, oil cooler hose, water bypass hose, heater hoses, throttle body coolant hose (i would bypass -- ID6mm coolant grade hose), the coolant hoses are cheap,

upper and lower radiator hoses, buy st205 silicone hose set from redline performance, should work, can compare measurements if u like

vacuum hoses - use 4 and 6mm silicone hose, buy yourself about 2m of 6 and 1m of 4

idler hose is ID13mm (AN -8 pushlock works)

turbo water feed & outlet is ID10mm (AN -6)

st205 turbo oil return hose is about ID19mm, not sure for st185

what else?

Update guys :-) So i've replaced mostly all my hoses which is excellent! Thank for your support, was funny though, I asked to get the BEST high pressure fuel hose from the Hose Shop. 30 bux for 50cm later...Got the fuel hose fitted and 5 minutes later it split and burst!!! >_< nice. ANYWHO.

The main issue I am having is pinging and making the timing RETARD itself and you can actually feel the HUGE LOSS IN POWER, after a FULL extensive service which was the following...

1. Oil Change with Valvoline 10w - 40
2. OEM Oil Filter
3. Radiator Flush
4. Fuel Filter
5. All Perished Vacuum hoses replaced
6. Fan Belts done
7. Gearbox and R.Diff serviced
8. New Eagle 7mm Ignition leads
9. NGK BKR6EIX Spark Plugs

I did notice a little difference and it SOMETIMES boost quite hard but most times its just RETARDING itself. I might point out that i've used the diagnostics to put the car in base timing mode and i'm hovering on a safe 8-9*.

My car does get very warm and hovers around the middle of the thermostat as my mate had to wire the fan relay to NO.2 as NO.1 fan relay was not starting the radiator fan :-S He even made a custom relay just to see if that was the issue, so looking at the manual it states that the fan only comes on with the engine is above 102* degrees. (I DO HAVE THE HEATER ON THE CAR CONSTANTLY THOUGH)

Maybe this could be my issue? I have brought a 12" fan (generic one) just in case.....

Any thoughts please? P.S: Car has been sitting for 8 years and I have been topping up with 98 Fuel and the odd injector cleaner :-)

But the car actually pings alot though, would the Knock Sensor malfunction make the car just ping then and there?

Sounds like the pinging is causing the knock sensor to trigger. Hence the loss of power and wiered boost response.

One question though, why is it pinging in the first place :-)? Don't mean to be rude. Thanks for your help btw

Yeah that's something I'm trying to work on. I haven't really had any experiance with pinging myself so I'm trying to think of causes hoping that someone else will chime in :D

How have you done the timing?

Yeah it's digging my head in through, I am tempted to take out the O2 Sensor wire to see if that changes anything, I would rather it be super rich than maybe lean causing it to knock\ping?

The timing? I checked it lastnight and its set to 8*. It's supposed to be 10* but I thought 8* would be safe :)

Empty the tank, after 8 years there may well be water in there.

Personally I would just disconnect the line before the filter and let the pump run it out, but I know some pumps don't like that. I've run my gt4 out several times and not had a problem but its at your own risk.

Hose and gravity is easiest.

Is it map sensored or afm? I had a 3sgte that was pinging, turned out to be a rooted afm.
