My 2c - I don't like the way cars high performance are going; that is all the electronics and sequential gearboxes. I know it makes cars 'faster' for a variety of reasons, but I think it's taking the fun and skill out of driving.
I think Toyota's on the right track with the GT86 -> hopefully a full blown performance car will come out along the same lines.

Its also important to bare in mind that the current 2012 gtr is a very different beast to the 2008 one
How do you figure that???
The Nurburgring has every corner known to man but the 2012 GTR can't match it there so where you get this destroyed it line from is what I don't get.

The ring is a track I would consider "high speed" if you put them both on tsukuba I am betting the GTR would come out substantially ahead.
I am basing this on what I have seen in comparisons of the GTR vs other cars such as GT2 etc and the LFA vs those same cars.

Of course this means absolutely nothing unless it actually happens. Would be interesting to see, but I'm not convinced and I doubt I will be proved wrong. What is more likely is someone might put slicks on them then go REALLY quick, which I would love to see.

I agree. I haven't driven many fast cars so I'm sure a GT-R would be an amazing drive but it is all too computerized. I like to be able to drive a car without help from computers controlling the way it drives.
