is anyone else looking forward to how this is going to go down?

ive read rave reviews about the FT86 and that, but isnt an AWD version going to up the ante a bit more?

be even more dangerous if they fit a turbo and have a switch to disengage the front driveline for some rear wheel fun like the legacys did back in the days

pop the fuse and rwd skids on

seems like more weight / driveline is just going to make it slower in most situations

From what I have read, they're identical apart from the badges.
The Subarus lowest model will be the same as the GT86, and STI is going to do a version as well, similar to the TRD model.
So Subaru won't be doing a FT86 type budget model, well not in NZ at least.

Picked up a NZ Driver mag from March 2010, and read about the 230kW+ FT86...

Only skim read the latest Top Gear magazine but there is mention of the BRZ having what felt like stiffer suspension (according to stig anyway). Could there be some subtle differences there?

Maybe the STI version uses Bilstein shocks/springs and TRD version uses TRD/kyb(or whatever TRD is using)...

If TRD is using the same shocks they did for the Supra, then factory were Bilsteins and TRD was just re-branded Bilsteins. Not sure if they have changed their setup since the 90's/early 2000's though
