whats valve stem seals though, only like 30 bucks right? i guess i could change the seals and run some thicker oil in the mean time?
now i think about it, i do have access to a "honing stone" or whatever their called, the tons of little stones on strings that slide up and down the cylinder. whats rings like 100 bucks i guess? i could change them and leave the old bearings in, i cant see how that would make anything worse then it was before. unless their scathed up then i would change them.
was hoping i could runabout in this car for a couple weeks then try flick it off for a little profit, but i didnt realise the cam belt was done 120 kms ago til after i bought it as i was in a rush lol
want to try get it up to scratch for as little as possible in hope of breaking even!
dont really care that the car smokes, i find it funny and it was just something to get me around in the mean time (i cant keep a straight face driving it around anyway) just would like to break even on it when i sell it. i wouldnt want to have "im selling you a car thats going to start smoking like a chimney as soon as you put some normal oil in it" in my conscience, so id like to fix the smoke and oil usage, as id be trying to sell it as a ideal first car/ runabout
