The fuel filters been on the van since its 200k full service, so its done 40,000kms

Actually yea i have heard of those small filters in the pumps causing problems so i will check that while im at it, thanks for that one

And yup no problem on the photos, ill properly get some more time over this long weekend to get stuck into it and hopefully get it all fixed

The w2a water is just a normal mix with normal antifreeze right? just like the engine radiator? think i might give it a flush through when i get the new pump in there, its properly factory fluid after all

is the w2a system all alloy? if so run limited antifreeze, just barely enough to colour the water

So! sorry on the delay but good news is the van is fixed!

Turns out most of the problem i would say would be that split filter on the turbo boost sensor, has made a huge difference to the response of the vehicle, and with the intercooler working now on those hills it sticks to the speed limit so that's awesome so thanks very much everyone for helping out with this one 8)

cheers for the pic. pump looks a little smaller than the st205 one, but will keep it in mind given the price.
Reality: A nasty hallucination that is caused by excess blood in the alcohol stream.

It looks like ST165/Legacy one (they are same units apart from plug). They meant to flow about 15L/min.
It will probably be more reliable than Bosch one anyway.

It actually reminded me of a legacy pump when i pulled it out, it certainly isnt a "big" pump
