Fitted my brand new license plates to my recently resprayed front end.

It looks alot nicer now the old bent, twisted and rusty bolt stained one is gone.

Found some side skirts for cheap on Trademe. They arrived today and are now fitted. Front lip is next on the list.

Also fitted some fortune auto coilovers a couple of months ago which I'm loving.

Started to put one of them back together. I really should have labelled the items with more detail :x Not a big fan of puzzles, another few days to go before it's rolling I reckon. Putting it together as I got another Toyota, so Escort is out the door.

Swapped the well worn out GT Radials on the front to Toyo Proxes 4 - what a difference! Even new the GT Radials didn't have this much grip, it's unreal

Fiddled with driveshaft loops, got them to fit, but might have to remake the upper loop if the cert guy doesn't like it.

While the interior was out of my car I installed some sound deadening. Cheap Chinese version of dynamat. Less than half the price and thicker.

Put in my recovered rear leather seats, looks pretty good, leather is a bit wrinkled, but isn't to bad considering it was on 800 for the interior kit and 300 to get the seats recovered.Image

I started pulling apart my car in readiness for fitting a new FFIM, and GTE cam covers etc.

The main things I had to do yesterday were to remove the battery, airbox and intake manifold, then slowly and painfully disconnect every plug on the engine loom so I could pull it all out of the way and to disentangle the lower runners from its cage of wiring, and I lost the skin on almost every knuckle in the process.

Next step is to remove the remote oil filter/lines, so I can test fit the manifold/throttle body, so I can see how much wiring I will need to unwrap in order to make it all hide underneath the runners, and also to measure how much room I have for a small gel battery (which will probably end up being in the boot.

OOpps bit late to post. So my little project fxgt is coming along. Bought as rolling shell, fitted my race motor to run it on the road, 4age 16v with side draft carbs and other little goodies, with S/T 20v flywheel. Monday and Tuesday modified the power steer bracket to make room for my oil pressure sender unit, test fitted oil pressure gauge. Now to properly wire it in. Got some fittings for my adjustable fuel pressure regulator, hose and fittings for it, Need to sort out linkage for carbs and other little bits

I went for a warrant...

Sounds lame, but the car has been offroad/storage since mid 2010.
It's so nice to drive it again...

Now I just need to sort out the rust issues...
