undo the filler bolt on the *front* of the gearbox (facing the front of the engine) if you will.

get a peice of straw / metal / paper etc

dip it in, the level should be slightly below the filler hole.

If you mean the stone cover, that is under the car, then yes.

not that hard, just need to wriggle around the wheels and stuff to get at those 2 by the wheel well.

why do you think its low / empty? has it been leaking?

nope not the stone cover under the car, i mean on top of the gearbox theres 2 bolts both are the same size but one has a circle cover over it that you can take off and a rubber hole under it.

:O

i have no clue what your tlaking about.

pop the hood, and look down, youll see the gearbox

looking back at your knees will be a nut, thats the filler hole.

undo that and stick a peice of wire in to see the level.

yeah on the front of the gearbox, about half way up. 24mm large bung. correct level is level with the bottom of the hole. a little drippling out is fine.

it may or may not be accsessible from the top in a gtz.
should be able to get it off with out removing the undertray

If you whip the filler bung out, and no oil drips out, there is not enough.

the correct amount, is how much you can pour in untill it dribbles out the filler hole.

Thats the way they are made.

Yeah halfway up the box casing there's a 24mm bolt as stated, maybe if someone has a pic to give him an idea of what he's looking for ?
