Boost Gauge...How high above desired level?

As above ...I bought the gauge when i was going to be running 15psi...however now I am going to be running 18psi as a daily and 20psi fo the track...

But the gauge only goes up to 20psi...

My question: is this ok? Or do I need to get a gauge that goes higher? And if so how high?

As long as its accurate and your boost control is sweet, then why bother?

why you need higher if your going to be running 20psi? i have a 20psi guage because i run up to 20psi, with the external and my boost controller i'm not worried about spiking over that at all. if your wastegate control is crap and spikes, it might be worth while

the only reason i'm changing mine to a 30psi one is because i'm plannng to run 25psi

I dont know what my wastegate is like...as I have never had it running!

Running a TD05h off a Evo4...with internal, and boost control via a link solenoid....

Guess I will just have to wait and see!

as you would expect, ones in bar and ones in PSI is it not?

and no8, personally i would get one that went ~5PSI higher than what you intend to run - gives you some leeway

you wont know if its over boosting if it stops where you run it.

Just get and use a AVCR, Does control as well as a nice digi display.

Ummm why spend hundreds on an Apexi boost control when he has a Link solenoid doing all that already? Which may be a denso unit depending which he has. He only needs a gauge that meets his needs, which is one which reads over 20psi. A mechancial VDO units can be had for under $100, hundreds less than buying a complete new boost control system.

Ah ok, well you did tell him to get the AVCR thats all... I dont see why he seems to be after a new boost control system when he has one bt just runs out of range on the gauge he has...

why not just use the current one, and set the boost cut on the link to 22-23 psi

How am I to know when it is at 22psi if the gauge finishes at 20?

Go buy a new gauge.

Otherwise, when it spikes and shaggs something you'll regret it.

I reckon that'll spike a fair bit. The internal wastegates on those arent great.

Get a gauge that reads to say 2 bar for peace of mind and as kris said, set the boost limiter in ya link for safety
