Can a piston with an 18mm gudgeon be taken out 2 mm and still maintain it's structural integrity?

There are plenty of competent people in the South Island around Christchurch/Timaru that could do them for you I'm sure, if there is enough meat round them. I haven't got this exact set sitting in front of me to know & I'd rather try & persuade someone to buy a decent set of pistons like a set of CP's than machine something to do the job as I have seen some JE's fail through the gudgeon boss under heaps of boost & it wasn't a pretty sight.
If you get stuck for circlips/lock try Proturn Engineering(Dick Chapman used to be LR Race components) or Denco(Bob Benson) both manufacture pistons & have done so for many years & had a pretty good selection or will be able to point you in the right direction. Else I have had luck with Sydenham Park(Silvesters), Kelfords,Segedins etc as well in trying to source enough for one piston or odd sizes.
