also they dont loose much over the straight ,look at the black top 20v motors there ram tubes are worse but still works
not allowed bonnet scoops in our racing class, different engines yes ,but must have all steel bonets, guards and doors only allowences are rear spoiler and frt spoiler in fibre glass
also before i went up to the 80mm ramtube was using 30mm and making 204kws at back wheels at 9200 rpm
now only making 190 kws at 8800 but i have fatter hp from 4800 up to 8500 making 25kws to 20kws above the 30mm ram tube and also the torque is higher right though till 8000 rpm when it starts to taper down

Very nice, I'm quietly pleased to see its that aggressive a setup haha. I tuned a 2.2litre NA Honda a couple of weeks ago which made just over 190kw and we had a big back patting session about how we'd got a pretty hard to match power/power delivery level for a naturally aspirated street friendly motor - never expected to read a couple of weeks later that a 3SGE in any state of tune would be making more power, though if I was going to read that I'd much prefer that it was something as mental as it looks like it is haha.
The H22A is making less power, but is focussed at being a street(ish) friendly build and makes the most of having VTEC and more ccs to get away with that - for comparison at 5000rpm we had 120kw, 6000rpm = 145kw, 7000rpm = 180kw, 8000rpm = 190kw and then power levels off. This is running a Skunk2 Pro-series single throttle intake manifold.
