1994 Hilux Surf timing light reset?

Changed the belt how do you turn the timing light off? Google said to turn reds on hold tripmeter down turn key off and on but didn't work. Cheers

Key on to ACC (first position). Hold down trip button and turn key to ON at same time. All lights come on, continue holding trip button until timing belt light goes out. Does that not work?

It is possibly old enough where you have to pull the dash out and change the screw location over in the back of the cluster.

Is the odometer digital display,
or the old wheels that roll around with the numbers on them?

Digital will most likely be push button,
old style will be dash out.
