As said previously, check your policy doc. Then http://ifso.nz/

Re: what happens to my car/parts in a write off
Depends on your insurer's definition of 'agreed'. You'll need to check your policy.

Re: what happens to my car/parts in a write off
You'll need to read your policy to see whether it is agreed value or market value. If it's agreed value it seems unlikely they'll be able to write it off for a slow nose to tail.
Then your only worry is whether the non-disclosed 'go faster' bits give your insurer an excuse to void your policy.

It depends.
Whose insurer?
Who was at fault?
Were the mods declared?
Where is the car now?
How much is(or was) the car worth?

Have you tried different gauges?
From memory I was hitting fuel cut on a similar setup. Then after doing the dump pipes it was running about 16psi with no boost controller.

If you're spending less than $100, I'd go for it and make up your own mind.
I saw an increase in boost and improvement in response on a TT 1JZ, but that was using the biggest pod I could find in a shielded set up, and it already had exhaust done.

Nitrous is probably your best option, a wet ~25hp shot would be plenty to start with.

Should just be an evolution of TEMS? When I replaced the TEMS stuff on my JZZ30 it was pretty reasonable - $150 per corner for genuine stuff from memory.
Ticking probably to do with the direct injection? IS350 and GS350 run the same engine, probably a heap more google results by searching that.

Does it just happen on cold starts?
Is it fouling the plugs to the point of misfire?
Have you taken it for a thrash since charging the battery?
Have you gassed it up recently?
ECU should have already been reset when you disconnected the battery to charge it - unless you charged it while it was ...

Re: fujitsubo rear muffler, toss or repair - rattles
It seems a lot of the Japanese mufflers like that use mild steel internal pipe, and rust out over time. I've also found quite a few of the 3" systems actually squeeze down to 2.5" or even 2.25" (mild steel) through the muffler.

I got the Dewalt DW059 a few years back, bare tool + NiCad came to $300. I just use my RC car charger for it, which gives me a selectable charge rate and a readout of mAh going in each time.
