just use the dizzy wheel as a cam sensor, then you dont have to worry about the detailed wiring. unles you wanted to keep all the original wiring.. :)

head is off caldina vvti beams, am running cam sensor 12-1, running verson 2.2 MSI. if you have a gen3/gen4 you have already a 32-2 tooth pickup on the cranks so can grind an extra tooth and your away!

somewhere, but it pro bably wouldn' t be the sam e place you' d end up if you' d chosen a Contact ...

romanV, these are non-interference engines with normally about 2.5mm clearance. there is some adjustment with the vvti cam, but only about 1-2degrees (on the outer cup/body the bolt holes are slotted). just dont pull your vvti cam unit apart! i did just to see how it works and took me 5hrs to put it ...

I feel for you RomanV, i did three sets of putty-clearance tests, so had to assemble and remove cams alot! i tried universal joints, spanners etc but just just cant get around pulling the cams out!

got carbs on one engine in AE70, and quad throttles plus msns-e in mr2.
also looking at running msns-e on gen4 with factory intake in AE86 for targa next year. We love our 3sge engines down here!

Its quite simple once ya figure it all out.
as the exhaust gas flows out the combustion chamber and thru the manifold, it created a light vacuum behind it. so when the piston goes into its next stroke the vacuum helps suck out any left over gas.
so the faster the gas flows out the exhaust the more ...

Also could be your knock sensor if it was running ok previously. if its reading wrong, then it would be thrown into retard .

anothonym, yeah they were bloody expensive, but i had been looking for two months so $400 was worth it!
I have bored them out to 48MM, used weber butterflies and bolted them to an altezza 3sge in my sw20.
ive also got a set of 45mm nissan throttles of a gtir which are nice but molded in pairs. so ...

the sw20 gear linkage cables do streach a bit too.
Ive done a couple of sw20 engine swaps for mates now, and the linkages have caused a problem.
