Sadly agree; if I do end up buying one early next year I'll be after an aero model, minus the spoiler. Stunning looking car otherwise, though!

I've just registered my interest, so hopefully they get in touch soon for a test drive at least. I'd not be interested in buying one until at least the new year though, so a wait isn't too big a problem for me.

Funny that this time around police are still investigating whether they were boy racers or not. Seems like they're only definitely boy racers from the get-go if they manage to kill a small child

No that's weak in the mind. Natural selection deals primarily with physical strength.

No it doesn't.

Humanity's physical state should have given us up to predators thousands of years ago, if not sooner. It is only our intellect that has kept us alive and evolving.

i.e. Natural selection is ...

Except alloy cools less effectively than the copper you find in standard radiator cores :P

What I said excludes a cold air intake completely; I was talking about running the trumpets completely open.

So after reading through this thread im better to leave the K&N panel filter in the standard air box over fitting trumpets and socks to my AE111

Yes. Unless you've got an appropriately-tuned aftermarket ECU and other bits and pieces, you will always see a power drop if you ditch the factory ...

Pretty sure the extra power output would make certification necessary. You may get away with it, though.

Not that I'm interested in doing this, but that's an easy and nice writeup :)

More to my point, out of curiosity as it is, what is the advantage of running coil packs?

Another one interested in stickers - I managed to miss them in the merchandise thread up until now. Would be great if you could post a picture.

Might be up for plate surrounds and a lanyard for my work swipe card too :D

To be honest, and probably a bit blunt, it'd have to be substantial enough a puddle that I'd feel like a right idiot going into in any event :P

so pod in the guard will adversely effected the performance of the car?

My thinking was more cold air = more power..?

The only downfall I noticed after installing it was a slight decrease in response at low revs.

But this could be remedied by fitting an arc chamber like Acesnipers setup?

Or ...

Sorry for the huge bump, but I was wondering if you can clean the stock air filter that comes with the Blacktops?? Or is it better to just buy a new one

Thanks.

Better yet, spend $100 and buy a K&N

Funny that this is my original topic

I ended up going for an A'PEXi panel filter, and it's ...

how is it a step down from factory?

As said, it's sucking in hot air. Cold things have less energy and expand less, so you're basically getting less air when it's hot.

My advice is to replace that Simota filter with the factory airbox and get yourself a decent panel filter replacement from A ...

Yeah when i have my laptop next to me it always tells me "danger to the manifold", but i just tell it to shut up and close it and then hit my second NOS button. The aluminium floors help alot. Now they only fall off every second race.

Mugen badges IMO.

Aluminium floor panels will help too, in case you get danger to manifold.
