Does the noise change or get louder or higher pitched or anything when the revvs are higher? If yes, alternator whine. If no, and as only on radio, might be something to do with your headunit or your aerial? I would ditch the noise thingee you bought though, doesn't seem to be helping

I used TINTS manukau, same sort of area as tint-a-car but not the same place

Mint service, awesome job, huge range, cheapest I found as well and came out looking a lot better than some mates that paid more and got them done elsewhere. Have a chat to Junior that works there :)

Went and had a look at it today, he said it eats no oil at all (topped it up 250ml at its last service and hadn't touched it since the service before that), no rust anywhere (small bit fixed along the roof at the boot though), runs mint as well

Took it for a drive, runs no problems at all, doesn ...

1986 FXGT - info needed prior to purchase :)

Had a search of the forums so don't have me up about that


I am looking at buying a 1986 FXGT at the moment as a bit of a basher/daily/project car. It has done 350,000kms but in mint condition, always serviced (I know the last 2 owners so yea, not a lie there in the last 10 years or so ...

Yea budget is a biiig factor with components, with being able to spend less than $100 if your thrifty up to $800+ sometimes

For rears try and get some 6" mids as opposed to 6x9s

some fusion is crap but then they make up for it by having some really good stuff for quite low prices

as your sub is single voice coil, if you are only wanting to power the sub then only get a 2 channel amp and bridge it to 4 ohm... however if you want to amp your sub AND your fronts then get a ...
