Re: DIY re-spray, what is needed?

Agree with the above...

Paint and sanding crap is capable of getting into everything! Can't remember what forum I saw it on, but a guy purchased a mini greenhouse clear plastic shed which he used inside his warehouse to spray his car and retain all the overspray/dust crud in it... Pretty neat idea ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Very, very, very jelly. Always wanted a supercharged one. The only ones I ended up looking at back in the day were too raped/rusted out to be acceptable.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Bought another supercharged AW11, because I have a problem and cannot stop buying cars

Every time I (infrequently) come on here you've bought something new to you!

Excellent choice!

Nothing. New cars are either expensive or boring.

I miss my old ae101 reading through this... :(

Re: Coilver install or Not ???

Curious - considering buying one of these for a while.

How are you finding them (Ralliart Colt)?

Have you had any gearbox issues? (I still may just have to buy one for giggles)

Re: Stolen - UZZ30 Soarer, Stokes Valley

They are all good with driving a stolen car, but won't drive one without a wof?

So confused.

No ownership checks on drink driving/ simple stops.

WOF sticker is an obvious sign something is wrong.

Re: wof question regarding radiator.

Whether it's legal or not is a pretty low threshold to be concerned with.

Impact hazard isnt just from a flying radiator. Its the litres of boiling water which will fry the back of your head which you should also be concerned about....

Re: Leaking Diesel Pump 2c Corona

I don't want to throw huge amounts of money at the car as I'm wanting to swap the motor out within the 18 months

Get a second job, earn more $, get swap done?

Definitely attempt Lloyd's cleaning advice before proceeding to waste $. Figure out a way to limp it until you have the $ for the swap ...

Re: Holden Barina RS

Did have a look at the Honda, just wasn't impressed. I assumed this was due to the range here being different to what you get in NZ

Also looked into Renault Clio, but the one I wanted was well outside the budget

Earlier in the year, I test drove a Mazda 3. Car seemed much bigger than what we ...

In the suzuki dealership again now... about to buy a swift!

Will be asking for floor mats and a spare wheel, considering the seat covers but last time they said they were $600??? doesnt sound right.

Re: Holden Barina RS

Yeah, find that pretty easy to believe.

Really struggling to make a decision.

We have been offered a Black (metallic paint) swift sport for $23,000 drive away... But it doesnt have a spare wheel or a tow bar (bikes) and frankly, its pretty slow.

The Polo really is the pick, it has both a spare ...

Re: More brake noises! Yay!

If you keep paying people to do average work on your car, you'll be out of pocket and still dealing with half fixes.

In the alternative, you could spend some time researching it/ asking questions on here/ spending the dosh on tools and parts...... you'll also know how to fix it next time round and ...

Since found out the Holden is manufactured by Daewoo and is sold any various different guises... see wikipedia. I don't want a rebadged Daewoo....

Holden Barina RS

Looking at small, new hatchbacks that are fun to drive and cost less than AUD$25,000. (In Australia).

Test drive a Holden Barina RS today.. rather liked it.

Does anyone know much about these? little concerned as the predecessing Barina did not appear to be great on reliability....

By no means ...

Re: TGP Japan Oil Filters

Why do people get hung up on this sort of stuff? Vehicles can happy do 500,000kms on cheap aftermarket filters and never have an issue with the oil system, even running 10,000km intervals or more. Soooo much automotive stuff (even genuine) comes out of China.

Because of the difference in ...
