Re: what's limiting my power?

Turbo id say.
Those turbos are good for 240-250kw atw on a 2.0l so your 1600 will struggle to make more power.

Theres a 101 up there with a blacktop motor in it. Only had a very quick glimpse to confirm as it has the hydraulic tensioner at the bottom. Intake is gone.

Re: Help!! piston rings for 3sge beams

Just measure the ring groove in the piston. Order some aftermarket rings with the ring sizes and bore size.

Angle grinder with a cutting disc. I just cut out little bits at a time till it fitted. Then cleaned up the edges so it looked smooth.

They were pretty good, but I'm quite aggressive under brakes and I couldnt get anymore than 3 laps out of them at Manfield. Pedal would still be hard but braking would be greatly reduced when hot. The pads were flaking ...

Re: Shred Motorsport shutting down.

The building, hoists and dyno are all owned by a family trust, so the equipment will still be available. From what ive heard the dyno will be available for hire and Geoff will still be wiring, but I think he will be working for somebody this time.
