Hi guys,
Im looking at upgrading my 100 to a 200 series cruiser
My budget only allows me to just afford 2007/8 diesel turbo vx
Ive done a bit of research and it seem early model 200 series had a problem with vaccum pump leaking oil through a poor seal and sixth gear not engaging until well over ...

also lada niva one of best 4x4 ever made. Very hard to break and get stuck. Good value for money and very easy to modify. I want to buy one herr but all are in bad condition.

ya. My lancia done 218,100ish miles, dad owned since new in 1983. Very hard to own car back then, lots of rules and needed goverment approval to own non regular car. We look after alwayd. Never break down. Make me sad that new zealanders do not like thier cars, i am sorry forget word in english ...

Yer i got shafted by this guy few years back ended up costing me $700 to fix a manifold leak,more than double what he quoted me.
He reckons every stud broke so that added another $400??
Mr muffler across the road is way better,took it to him orginally but he was booked out and i wanted it done ...

Landcruiser in low range will do it piece of piss,ive towed couple of truck one was a big Volvo hiab with 8.5 ton on back.It got stuck down a step driveway,the yota pulled it out easy as 8)

That RC is nice but not willing to spend that sort of money on a celica
One im looking at isnt even wide body but im not fussed as long as its tidy.

steer clear of anything with boy racer mods or bank on rebuilding the motor.
Ok,the one i know of is a standard 1990 with 130,000ks on the clock.
Ive got a general idea what to look for just wandering if st185s have any bad omens as i will be holding on to it for a while.
Its 3 hours drive away ...

New on this site but had Yotas my whole driving life :D (Got 2 at the mo)
Been thinking of getting me a GT4 celica for a couple of months now
Couple of question about st185
Any known areas to look for rust?
Any engine/gearbox issues to look for?
Helpful advice appreciated :D
