yeah the ct26 made no extra boost after bout 5900 anyway...but wen traction was an issue it used to bounce on the limiter if u werent quick enuf to change it.think i did it once just to see what it went to  witness in car wuld attest to 7800...was getting scared wen it started approaching 8
Jools... i found it strange that a jdm ecu didnt hav a speed cut when it was sposed to aye.

Yeah I thought maybe mine was wired wrong, but used factory loom. I've only heard a few cases of this. Must be a different type of ECU?
Unless other people have had this?

Hmmm, 100ish hp @ 8500rpm, or 220hp@6800. Hard decision really. Altho another hard charging 4K is in the pipes, but this time we'll get the next cam up and bolt on the twin dellortos! 8O

Watch for both at a drift track near you!!

BTW, my old 308 pulls to about 4800rpm safely, and breaks rockers at 6000!

my cressida went to about 9500rpm.... although that was when the transmission had already gone BANG and I was still getting it to move a little, with each rev increase, until about 5krpm then another bang hissing noise and the engine screamed a death scream of pain as it jumped to the end of the tach.

(I ended up driving home in reverse... for some strange reason that still worked great.)
