Actually you'll be better off if YOU can control the throttle in two ways.
1. Introducing a missfire without reducing fuel causes washing of the cylinder walls. This increases wear and dilutes your oil.
2. WOT there is no restriction in flow, velocity slows and fuel falls out of suspension so you get less HP. If you can modulate the throttle then you have more HP because the throttle plate causes turbulance and a restriction in flow, increasing velocity. Try it next time your on a dyno, they test HP at WOT, but you can increase low and mid range HP by just closing the throttle somewhat!!!
Nitro mixes are a little different as the fuel air mix doesn't need to be as accurate.
The best solution for launching is throttle by wire, where the computer controls the throttle. Looked at doing something like this, but I'll have to wait for the Ultra Mega Squirt in order to have the clock cycles to drive the bloody thing!!!

i herd sumwere, u can run a pressure switch, off ure volage regulator (5v i think) and just hook up an extra fuel line. maybe a return aswell. Make sure the switch is a low tolerance switch so it activated when turbo starts spooling.

Ummm... thats the point of rising rate fuel pressure regulators isn't it? More boost = more pressure at the rail = more fuel into the engine on boost.

If your after some form of easy accurate fuel control then the UMS isn't for you. It'll work out at about $400 US including the stimulator.(when it's finally released) Then you may have to write your own code, tuning isn't the easiest and it won't be anywhere near as stable as the Link products. I run two Links in my two race cars at present. Very good basic computers, I've had absolutely no problems with them. (had problems with the early link ignitors, but thats a different story).
By installing an injector that comes on at a certain amount of boost you'll end up with lean and rich spots. Cheap solution, but by no means a good solution. If you can get a cheap link, go that way, you won't regret it in the long run.

Powerlink additional injector controler, its what I run and have for some time now and mixtures stay constant through out the rev range. I'm very happy with this product.
